Cameras: what is in a name?

Hello Marsdenians
I have wndered what would be in store for the Hasselblad camera company. They made great cameras in the film days. They used 120 or 220 roll film and the format of the negative was about four times the size of 35mm. Mary and I owned one for a while.
But now digital has or must have taken part of their advantage away. Not sure. But at any rate this story is very interesting as they are now rebranding Sony cameras. High end Sony cameras, but Sony cameras just the same. And how long will it take before what is a high end digital camera now is just standard?

I know back in the film days Yashica made lenses for Zeiss.
Best,
John
