Hey Do - Steve Forbert had a few really great albums in the mid-eighties. He go a lot of play on CFNY-FM.

He is a bit Folky. From Wiki - Samuel Stephen "Steve" Forbert is an American singer-songwriter. He is best known for his song "Romeo's Tune", which reached No. 11 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1980, and is ranked as the 60th biggest American hit of 1980.

And yes - we do play him in the stream and on DJ Shows at NYTheSpirit.

I'm confident if you enjoy his lighter/folk side it would be a fine evening in an intimate venue.
