How To Do Stuff On The New Board

With a new board comes a few new questions. Some are asking about posting video and pics, and other stuff. Perhaps this will help...

I didn't know how to embed a youtube video until the admin here cleared up my confusion.

To embed a video you can press youtube button across the posting window (where bold, underline, etc are - its the last item) This will create the following entries [youtube][/youtube]

Now you will have to paste the youtube video code but not the whole link.
For example if the whole link is: http://youtu.be/qOoqrros9LY you will only need to copy qOoqrros9LY
Update:Jan 30 2014 Do not you leave spaces on each side of the link between [youtube][/youtube]

If you've done it correctly, the embedded video will show up when you press the Preview button below your draft.

All of a sudden, I can't view YouTube embedded videos on the Marsden Forum when using Chrome. I checked my version of Flash and it's current. Whenever there's an embedded video, it just shows up as a white square, even if it's a video that I posted and it worked for me previously. This seems to be the only place (so far) that I'm having this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Yes, I can see the videos on that link/post, as well, but not the one further up on this forum or others--thanks for the confirmation that I'm not the only one!

Update - we have changed the loading of You Tube vids to make it a little more intuitive.

You no longer need to leave spaces around the [youtube][/youtube]

The You Tube URL copied from their site looks like this - http://youtu.be/mFAWmH12Ivo

You only need this part of the URL - mFAWmH12Ivo

The result should work like this....
